Organization Award

The first Organization Award was presented in 1986. ADRP recognizes that without the support of organizations, the mission of donor recruiters to provide an adequate blood supply in their communities would be non-existent.  As partners, the recruiter and representatives of the organization work in concert to educate not only the members of their organization, but the public at large of the daily need for blood products. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Organization has donated and/or underwritten costs of any items which assist donor recruitment/public relations, such as software/hardware or any other equipment which would have enabled donor recruitment to be more efficient and cost effective; or
  • Organization has offered training workshops in sales, public relations, fundraising, management, supervision or other related skills relevant to donor recruitment or public relations.
  • Organization is supportive of the blood program and may sponsor blood drives.

Submission Requirements

  • Typewritten nomination.
  • Typewritten letter of endorsement from Blood Center's Chief Executive Officer/Director or designee
  • Nominator must be a current ADRP member.
  • Nominating Blood Center must provide recipient with transportation and a minimum of one nights lodging to host city for ADRP awards ceremony.

Media Award

ADRP recognizes that without the support of the media, the mission of its members to recruit an adequate number of donors in their communities would be very difficult.  For this reason the media award was established and the first award was presented in 2003. As partners, the recruiter and representatives of the media work in concert to educate the general public of the daily need for donors of all types. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Media Organization has provided outstanding support toward increased collection of blood/tissue donations by influencing public awareness for the ongoing need for blood/tissue donations.
  • Organization demonstrates consistent support throughout the year and may sponsor an annual or bi-annual event on a large scale.
  • Organization is supportive of the blood program and does sponsor blood drives or other donation events.
