Throughout her career, Tammy Whiteley has been a great mentor,  seeking every opportunity for growth for herself and her team. In 2005,  she assumed her current role as director of donor recruitment for the Oklahoma Blood Institute, overseeing mobile recruitment, telerecruitment and community relations statewide. In less than 10 years, she has been responsible for collections ranging from 30,000 units to more than 200,000 units in one year. As the project leader for the O Negative Appeal Prevention Team, she has been instrumental in the increase of O negative collections.
