The generous and enthusiastic media support of KABB-TV in San Antonio, TX has been instrumental in the success of the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center’s (STBTC) annual Give 2 Live Blood Drive & Marrow Registration year after year since the event began in 2006. With airtime donations amounting to over $111,900, KABB-TV has educated people in the greater South Texas community about the needs for blood and marrow donations.
Directly from the media efforts of KABB-TV, the STBTC has collected over 2,365 units of blood and added 212 registrants to the Be the Match national bone marrow registry, as well as 111 tissue registrants. Each year, KABB-TV increases their efforts to promote the Give 2 Live blood drive.
