Sometimes things just don’t go as planned. And, sometimes I realize I just successfully complicate things.
Case in point – taking a human blood drop photo of conference attendees in ADRP’s red World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) Conference T-Shirts, sponsored by Fenwal, Inc. and supplied by Francis Communications. read more | 2 comments »

It was a great ADRP Conference. And, from comments received through the online evaluation process, it appears that attendees agreed.
The ADRP meeting addressed the specific needs of our ever-changing environment. The presentations were developed to deliver best-in-class education to the attendees. The meeting invigorated and inspired me to be a better leader and implement strategic initiatives to improve our recruitment efforts. Thanks ADRP!

What are you most looking forward to attending at the upcoming ADRP conference? It will be great to learn about the successes and missteps that ADRP members have experienced on their way through the social media maze. When I spoke to the panelists on the phone a few weeks ago, each of the speakers emphasized the need for the session to be as interactive as the topic they are covering. read more | 32 comments »

ADRP President-Elect

What is the best way to enter the new two-way channel called social media? I’ve read four books and countless articles on social media and finally decided to take the plunge with a blog. While there are many reasons to start a blog, my foremost reason was to begin an active dialogue with and between ADRP members. ADRP members have requested a better tool to communicate with the organization, Board of Directors and other members on a regular basis, and I’m hoping the blog serves as the first step.
Marcel Lebrun, entrepreneur and CEO of Radian6 (a tool in social media metrics and listening technology), describes social media tools such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter as phones that constantly ring to an organization. When an organization doesn’t have an active listening web device, it can’t hear what individuals have to say. ADRP wants to hear the ring, listen, interact and improve its services through this blog. read more | 18 comments »
