Rob Hill, Community Outreach Manager, We Are Blood, Austin, Texas

We Are Blood launched a bold re-brand in 2016 that placed a renewed emphasis on the blood center’s place in Central Texas as its sole supplier of blood resources and how blood donation brings our community together. Rob will discuss the community outreach component of We Are Blood’s successful community engagement effort, including maintaining a visible presence and opportunities for interaction at community events, such as festivals, concerts, athletic events, and festivals, as well as working with local partners on donor promotions and special, co-hosted events like the annual Beer Positive Brewery competition.

Rob Hill has worked as the Community Outreach Manager for We Are Blood since March 2017. After too many years as an attorney, Rob followed a path through coaching runners, into race and event management, and fundraising for various animal welfare nonprofits, before taking on community engagement roles at Goodwill Central Texas and We Are Blood, where he’s responsible for community outreach events, and creating and maintaining relationships with local partners for donor promotions and events.
